History
The Fort Bend Junior Service
Teen League officially began in 2006 by a group of League
members who wanted to encourage their teenage daughters to make
a life long commitment to volunteering in the community. This
group felt that it was their responsibility to mentor and
encourage their successors. It is in this spirit of
responsibility that the Teen League was formed so that we may
pass on to our daughters the joy of service and charity for the
benefit of others.
The Teen League began as a
chapter of the Fort Bend Junior Service League but stands on its
own with a Board of Directors, by-laws, and member requirements.
These teens are involved in various philanthropic activities
supported by the League through their core placements and League
events.
It is the intent of the Teen League to encourage its members to
become caring, involved citizens of this community. As
membership increases in the Teen League, the spirit of
responsibility and voluntarism increase and helps to promote
life long volunteers.
